To create the 1990 454 SS, Chevrolet plucked its big-block V-8 from the heavy-duty-truck line, stuffed it into a short-box C1500 Sportside pickup, stirred in performance goodies, and colored the creation in mean Onyx Black. This particular 454SS was ordered with a red cloth bucket seat interior to best match the red exterior graphics and the results are spot on. With very low miles recorded, this power house has an automatic transmission, power windows and locks, an AM/FM/cassette system and a tilt steering column. An accessory bedliner and tow-hitch have been added for light-duty work. These flashy trucks were a hit when new and this quality example is ready to be put back to work.
