A full custom build, this single-cab 2011 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup is finished in Charcoal and sports Yenko-style stripes and a cowl induction hood. The short bed is covered with a Bedrug and protected by a Retrax roll-up bed cover. The LS V-8 engine is equipped with a cold air intake, a Whipple supercharger, American Racing headers and paired with an automatic transmission and nestled into an engine bay that’s been dressed to appear that it’s made of carbon fiber. The chassis has been set with a 3/5 lowering kit, Wilwood disc brakes and 22-inch Vision Legend Series wheels.
The black interior features a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a center console and bucket seats with black and white Houndstooth inserts and Yenko-embroidered headrests. When it comes to high-performance Chevrolets, it’s hard to beat anything that rolled out of Don Yenko’s dealership in Pennsylvania. While the name remains huge among muscle car enthusiasts, Yenko never waved his magic wand over any trucks, even in the late 1970s and early ’80s when the country was beginning to embrace pickups and vans as primary modes of transportation.
In recent years, however, a number of performance tuners and manufacturers have been improving the performance prowess of GM trucks and applying the Yenko moniker to them, giving them a modern take on the name.
