A truly unique combination, this widened and stretched 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is a one-of-a-kind custom build by Jon Moss. The car sits on a 1995 Camaro floor pan that required immense fabrication to graft it to the Monte Carlo body. The rear-frame section is scratch-built, and the car features a roll bar to reinforce the chassis. The GM F-body underpinnings include rack-and-pinion steering and modified spindles with Wilwood brake calipers and 13-inch Corvette rotors. The wheels are Boyds, and it rolls on a set of Goodyear tires. The car wears a Lime Metallic Green paint, covering widened front fenders and quarter panels to hold the wider tire and wheel combination.
The interior looks like a production 1995 Monte Carlo, with the main difference being the 6-speed manual transmission shifter poking out of the console. Under the hood is drastically different from stock, as the original front-wheel drive system has been swapped for an all-aluminum 406 CI Chevrolet Motorsports small-block V-8 engine fitted for and wedged between frame rails from a 1995 Camaro. The engine features an aluminum block, forged rotating assembly and aluminum cylinder heads. An Erson .550-lift hydraulic-roller camshaft is accompanied by Crane 1.6 roller rockers and Smith Brothers pushrods. The fuel-injection system is sourced from a Chevrolet LT1 engine.
Backing the V-8 is a McLeod aluminum flywheel, dual-disc clutch and T-56 6-speed manual transmission, which sends power back to a Dana 44 rear end with 3.54 gears, locking differential and Strange axles. This is a wildly customized Monte Carlo.
