  • L34 396-cid, 350-hp V-8 engine
  • Muncie four-speed manual transmission
  • Power steering and brakes
  • 12-bolt rear end
  • Two-bar steering wheel
  • Rally wheels with redline tires
  • Chevelle-inspired styling
  • Less than 72,000 original miles

The 1966 El Camino fell under the second generation of El Camino production. It was advertised a dual purpose vehicle. It could be both a pickup and a passenger car, with the great looking styling of the Chevelle. Select 1966 factory brochures proclaim that the El Camino is “endowed with a streak of versatility that enables it to step gracefully into dozens of roles…El Camino can be both pickup and passenger car and everything between.” Buyers had their choice of 24 different engine and transmission combinations. The second generation Chevelle was produced through 1967.

This 1966 Chevrolet El Camino has been restored to its current presentation in a beautiful shade of red accented by chrome trim throughout the truck. It rides on Rally wheels with redline tires. The El Camino is powered by an L34 396-cid, 350-hp V-8 engine which is paired to a floor-shift four-speed manual transmission. Power is sent to a 12-bolt rear end. Power options on the car include windows, steering and brakes. The interior of the car is also completed in red, featuring a bench seat, seatbelts, clock and a radio. While the car is outstandingly dressed as a Super Sport, no SS El Caminos were produced in 1966. The vehicle has less than 72,000 original miles.
