This superb 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Callaway Coupe proves that the Old Lyme, Connecticut, tuning specialists are still on top of their game as the premiere Corvette aftermarket tuners. Specially ordered by a Nebraska Chevrolet dealer, this is a unique Z06 combining the factory Heritage treatment with the Callaway SC757 upgrade package. Shipped directly from the bowling Green assembly plant to Callaway Cars, it is one of one finished in Admiral Blue with a Twilight Blue Napa leather interior.
Finishing, including the RPO CFA painted roof as indicated in the window sticker, was begun at Bowling Green and completed by Callaway with a custom painted matching hood with unique supercharger cut out and trim. Headlining the Callaway treatment is the Z06’s factory supercharged 6.2L LT4 V-8 engine, which in stock form with dual-mode exhaust generates a healthy 650 HP and 650 lb-ft of torque.
Callaway replaced the LT4’s stock blower with its own larger-displacement GenThree TVS2300 supercharger and intercooler system for a substantial increase to 757 HP and 777 lb-ft of torque, here delivered through an 8-speed paddle-shifted automatic transmission to a limited-slip, electronically controlled differential with an auxiliary oil cooler. Magnetic Ride Control Suspension works with the Z06’s Michelin tires on chromed aluminum 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels and Brembo 4-wheel ABS disc brakes with slotted rotors and red calipers to produce sensational handling and stopping power.
The car’s Admiral Blue paint has been corrected and ceramic coated for maximum shine and protection, and the exterior additionally features the Carbon Fiber Visual Package, front splitter and rear spoiler, Xenon HID headlights with LED turn signals and a removable painted carbon fiber targa roof panel.
The C7 interior improved on earlier Corvette accommodations, in this case featuring the optional sueded Microfiber-Wrapped Upper Trim Package with leather-wrapped instrument panel, eight-way power-adjustable heated and ventilated seats with Memory Package, dual-zone climate control with air conditioning, performance data and video recorder, 8-inch color touch-screen Bose Premium audio system with Bluetooth, rear vison camera, color head-up display and a leather-wrapped, flat-bottom steering wheel. Callaway extras include Callaway door sill plates, interior and exterior badging and key fobs.
