Three Chevelles were built for the production: one destroyed during stunt work, one retained by Gosling himself, and this example—used for hero driving and interior sequences. It appears in numerous scenes filmed around Los Angeles, including the film's haunting night drives and tense getaway moments. The car's interior remains unmistakable, with dashboard cracks that can be clearly matched to close-up shots of Gosling and Carey Mulligan on screen.
Retaining its production modifications, weathered primer-grey paint, and interior patina, this Chevelle remains exactly as it appeared on film—a tangible and evocative symbol of Nicolas Winding Refn's acclaimed neo-noir masterpiece.
Purchased by Movie Cars Central in January 2020 from a private collector in the United Kingdom, the car is accompanied by its Certificate of Authenticity signed by William "Billy" Powell, its previous UK V5 title, expired US title, and several related props from the film.
While complete, the car would require mechanical recommissioning prior to road use.
