Chevrolet first introduced the intermediate-sized Chevelle in 1964 and it became an immediate sales success. The popular car was just what America wanted; Chevrolet sold over 440,000 of them in 1970 and Ads told us that the Chevelle’s performance "starts as soon as you’re seated.”
This SS tribute Chevelle offered in splendid red coachwork and contrasting SS rally black stripes has been clearly very well cared for and sympathetically upgraded to offer real muscle car looks and performance from an American muscle car enthusiast. The 307 V8 is coupled to a TH350 transmission with aluminium intake, 600 CFM Edelbrock carburettor and March dress up pulleys. This Chevelle also offers a 10 bolt rear axle, QA1 suspension upgrade with 1" lowering springs, stainless duel exhaust, cowl induction bonnet, front disc brake conversion kit with drilled and grooved discs and power brakes under the 18x8 front and 18x9.5 rear Boss 338 wheels.
The vehicle has a numbers-matching drive train and old MoTs dating back to the early 80s, plus a fresh MoT test certificate until August 2016, give any prospective buyer confidence in the mileage. We are informed that the Chevelle has all original body panels covered with a 2K clear over base paint. This motorcar also has the original Owner's Handbook, original factory vehicle build sheet and paperwork for all new parts fitted, surely fitting as the centerpiece of any muscle car collection.
