It served as the "marketing car" for Chevrolet, was featured at various events (including the Detroit Auto Show) and was the "photo car" used in all Camaro Collector's Edition advertising. It is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 engine, producing 650hp and 650 ft/lbs of torque, and mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. It features a Panther Black Matte exterior, Camaro's first and only ever offered matte color, exclusive to limited-edition ZL1 models.
