With just 836 units built, the 1954 Buick Skylark Convertible remains one of the most desirable and collectible Buicks ever built. Of course, it’s not just its rarity that makes it such a top-level collector car, it’s also its unique styling, luxurious appointments and top-of-the-line powertrain that separate it from the rest of the herd. This particular Skylark was treated to a no-expense-spared, frame-off restoration, including a correct Jenkins interior, trunk lining and convertible top, as well as a repaint in the correct Malibu Blue over a two-tone blue leather interior with red fender liners.

The chrome trim and brightwork have all been refurbished, right down to the original chrome wire wheels. The Skylark’s powertrain includes the 322/200 HP Buick Nailhead V-8 engine with 4-barrel carburetor and Dynaflow automatic transmission. Other features include power steering and brakes, a leather interior, a four-way power seat, power top, power windows, a Selectronic radio with power antenna and tinted glass.

The restoration was executed at a high level and has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including a Buick Club of America Senior Gold Award, a Buick Club of America Senior Preservation Award, an AACA 1st Junior Award in 2014, an AACA 1st Senior Award in 2016 and an AACA National 1st Prize Award. Just 132 1954 Buick Skylarks are known to exist, and this particular car is well-known to the collector car community and listed on the Hometown Buick Registry website. For those looking for a top-shelf collectible Buick, this 1954 Skylark is among the best examples of the breed.
