This 38,000 mile, original 1971 Buick Riviera two-door hardtop (style number 49487) in Stratomist Blue Metallic features the 455-cid, 315-hp, V-8 with four-barrel carburetion, Turbo-HydraMatic 400 automatic transmission, air conditioning, variable ratio power steering, power front disc brakes, dual exhaust, remote control drivers side rear view mirror, tilt steering, Riviera exclusive body side moldings and full wheel covers. Original carpet, seats and interior reflect minimum wear. At the top of the Buick line in 1971 was the “luxury-sport” Rivera. Promotion claimed that, “The 1971 Riviera is motion-sculpted giving an image of movement even when standing still.” It is often referred to as a “boattail” in the current era.
