$71,500 USD | Sold

This custom 1968 Buick Riviera received a frame-off restoration while the stock X-frame was rotisserie cleaned, blasted, sanded and painted Black Machinery Enamel. The powertrain is a GM Performance LSA 6.2-liter supercharged engine paired with a 4L85E 4-speed automatic transmission. A Lingenfelter blower pulley upgrade increases boost pressure to 10 psi. This was dyno-tuned on 91 octane gas. Under the hood is cooled by a Ron Davis dual-pass radiator with dual electric fans and shroud. This custom retains the stock Riviera air-conditioning evaporator and heater housing, providing flow-through outside air in all modes. The rear axle is a GS 3.42-ratio posi-traction.

The rear end features stock 12-inch drum rear brakes, which could aid in performing big burnouts. It sits on UMI Performance lower control arms with a 1-inch ADCO sway bar. The front suspension includes QA1 coilover shocks and adjustable-ride-height springs. The stock rear steering gear was removed and now incorporates a power rack & pinon system from a '70-77-era Trans Am. The wheels are one-off Buick Wildcat/Riviera Rally look-alike wheels, which the seller designed with MHT's help to include stock Riviera center caps. The wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich G-Force tires.

The exterior is finished in Argent Silver paint that covers the top half of the car, while Graystone covers the bottom, plus clearcoat. All non-painted metal has been rechromed and all stainless trim has been highly polished. The vacuum hidden headlight cannisters have been replaced with electric linear actuators. The inside of the body was repainted and features a custom leather interior, seats, door and quarter-cards. The front seat features stock six-way power, along with a bench/bucket seat, with two bucket backs and a large center fold-down armrest, with headrests. With the armrest up, the seat can hold three people.

The analog gauges have been replaced with Dakota Digital VHX panel and relocated the air-conditioning vents. It retains the stock air conditioning/heater and windshield wipers. It is also equipped with a Pioneer AVIC8000Nex multimedia, DVD receiver with NAV head, and front and rear speakers. An Ididit tilt steering column, Lecarra steering wheel, keyless push-button and a security system complete the interior.
