This Regal WE-4 Turbo 'T' is equipped with a 231/245hp V6 with 4-speed automatic transmission. An unrestored car with 26,687 miles (mileage not indicated on the title), it comes with original books. This is one of 1,547 WE4 cars built, and the black with its rare 'WO2' Exterior Sport Package - which was black bumpers and trim - made this car a wolf in sheep's clothing. This car is lighter and faster than a Grand National. The WE4 option with black bumpers and trim was only available for a short time. 1987 was the last of the rear-wheel drive Regals and the only year for this featured WE4 Turbo-T. The WE4 is actually lighter than its GN brethren.
The use of aluminum T-type wheels versus the steel GN wheels means less rotating weight. Also, aluminum bumper braces help shed weight. Power across the performance board arrived as 245hp and 355 ft/lbs of torque. The production start date was December 8. Interestingly, just two days prior, a bulletin had been released stating that the WE4 would no longer be available with the WO2 black-out kit trim package.
