Finished in a luscious, custom green metallic paint, this 1962 Buick LeSabre merges customization and classic original elements with stunning results. The staggered 20- and 22-inch Billet Specialties wheels are wrapped with low-profile blackwall tires and complement the chrome and brightwork such as the bumpers, grille, signature Buick VentiPorts and other trim, all of which highlight the green exquisitely. Interestingly though, the door handles have been removed for a very clean look.

Under the hood, a fuel-injected small-block V-8 has been mated to an automatic transmission and dressed with finned aluminum valve covers, billet front drive accessories, a chrome air cleaner and headers finished in gray, all matching the overall cool demeanor of the car itself. The engine bay has been smoothed and finished to match the car for a very clean look. Vintage Air has been installed, the lines having been hidden to sustain the clean look. Drivers will appreciate the power brakes and the lowered coilover suspension. The custom leather interior features a bench seat, a Pioneer stereo system, billet interior accessories and a custom steering wheel. Even the trunk has been finished.

Introduced in 1959, the second-generation LeSabres of 1961-64 were arguably some of the most popular of the brand. Restyled extensively from the original generation, the new design was very modern, crisp and clean, harkening to a future that left the days of fins and chrome to the chronicles of history. Continuing to serve in its position of full-size, low-priced model, the LeSabre was a strong seller, offering customers a variety of optional extras to dazzle up the standard features.

The second-generation LeSabres were slightly smaller than the original but offered an X-frame chassis design, the Mirrormatic speedometer, Cordaveen vinyl interior and a choice of engines ranging from 235 to 300 HP, all from a 364 CI V-8. One rarely seen, but very attractive, option was the upscale cloth-Cordaveen upholstery. For 1962, styling and features changed only slightly, with the two-door hardtop gaining a convertible-style look complete with bows, the Mirrormatic speedometer replaced by a wide, sweeping unit and the 364 CI V-8 replaced by the 401 CI V-8.
