$70,400 USD | Sold

This is one of only 13,588 Buick Lesabre convertibles built in 1960. All of the LeSabre convertibles were built in Flint, MI which is indicated in the VIN and on the body tag. The 1960 LeSabre received a major facelift, the new body design sharing only the roof and trunk lid with the 1959 model. The new Buick now sported a concave grille and horizontal headlights centered by Buick’s, then new, tri-shield logo which is still used today. Inside a revised instrument panel features a Mirromatic speedometer for which the lens could be adjusted to better visibility to suit the driver. A new two-spoke steering wheel with horn bars was introduced as well.

This stunning Buick received a complete frame-on restoration in 2011. The beautiful bodylines are very straight with great gaps throughout. The car was painted in its original color of Titan Red and has a new black power convertible top. The undercarriage was cleaned and repainted as well. The attractive exterior paint is in show-quality condition and all of the chrome and trim is in great condition. The car sits on proudly on four BFGoodrich Silverstone whitewall bias-ply tires. The original gray interior was replaced with a new red and white interior which complements the exterior excellently.

Everything in the interior has been restored or replaced, however the clock and radio are not in working order. This car was ordered with heater/defroster which works very nicely and a Buick tissue dispenser accessory was installed under the dash. The trunk compartment is nicely detailed with a spare tire and trunk mat. The engine compartment is also nicely detailed with many correct parts throughout. The 364ci Nailhead V8 engine is coupled to a twin turbine two-speed automatic transmission which shifts smoothly. The car is equipped with power steering and power brakes which make driving a pleasure.

This beautiful Buick was awarded AACA Senior First Place in 2013 and the medallion is attached to the front grille. It has recently been completely serviced which is documented with an invoice that is included. This LeSabre has been driven frequently, including a few longer distance trips.
