Finished in Strato-Mist Blue over white interior. This 1971 Buick GS convertible has undergone a comprehensive frame-off, rotisserie restoration. Production records show that only 81 Stage 1 convertibles were manufactured, and only 9 had a 4-speed transmission. The cowl data tag reveals that the exterior color is Strato-Mist Blue Poly Code 26, with a white bench seat interior, Code 155, and a white convertible top. The 455cid engine is casting #1231738 for 1971 455. The Stage 1 option, Code TS, consists of special ported and polished cylinder heads with huge valves, 10.5:1 compression, posi-traction, and all chrome dress-up kit. Buick's cool dual induction also enhances performance.
All of this is backed by the Muncie close ratio 4-speed gearbox, Hurst shift linkage, 11' super duty clutch and a posi-traction rear axle. These components were brought together in Flint and the vehicle was built 1st week of Sept. 1971. This Buick is equipped with the above performance options and the following comfort and convenience options and accessories, power seat, power windows, power steering, power disc brakes, power top, Super Sport chrome wheels, Rally steering wheel, hood tachometer, courtesy lamp package throughout, Soft Ray shaded glass, AM/FM sound system and the rarely ever seen specially sized N-25 outlets which release the exhaust through the bumper.
The attention to detail is evident.
