This stunning 1957 Buick Century Convertible has undergone a comprehensive restoration and features a rust-free body painted in spectacular two-tone Garnet Red and Shell Beige with a matching interior. The new power convertible top makes quite a statement in red and the car is one of only 4,085 Century Convertibles built that year. The Buick Century was designed with a lightweight, smaller body motivated by a powerful engine, something sporty yet elegant that would appeal to younger buyers seeking a blend of luxury and performance.

By 1957 the Century sported a 364 CI V-8 engine cranking out 300 HP nestled in a body that measured 6-inches shorter and weighed about 300-pounds less than the Roadmaster from where the engine came. The car performed so well that it gained the nickname of ‘the banker’s hot rod’ and the California Highway Patrol ordered a huge number of Century hardtops for their fleet. It was this combination of performance and style that helped make the Century a popular choice for the discerning customer. This Century Convertible’s interior has been refinished and restored from top to bottom, while boasting power windows and power seats.

An upgraded Buick cassette player radio has been installed and a CD changer is hidden in the glovebox. The 364 cubic inch V-8 breathes through a new dual exhaust system and is bolted to the Turbine Dynaflow transmission. Power steering and power brakes enhance cruising and parking and the sparkling chrome is highlighted by the wire wheels and whitewall tires.
