This much loved Z1 was delivered new to BMW Belgium Luxemburg in Bornem in July 1990 but was only sold to its first owner via Garage Siau in Lokeren in March 1991. The car covered over 93,000km in the first decade of its life. In 2008 the second owner acquired the Z1 at 94,000km, passing it to our current vendor in 2011 who has only driven the car infrequently. The total mileage is now 111,000km, indicating the light work this Z1 has done since its frenzied early days.
The Z1 shows a light patina but importantly the plastic body panels are in good condition and don't show evident cracks, and in 2020 the car benefitted from a mechanical overhaul totalling over €12,500 by Z1 specialist Potti's Garage in Germany. The timing belt and water pump were replaced at that point, and the car has covered just 3,000km since. The history file includes a BMW Classic certificate and BMW Certificate of Conformity, current Belgian registration documents and Contrôle Technique valid until June 2025, the original service book (stamped up to 2001), and numerous other invoices.
