This lovely 2008 BMW Alpina B3 Bi Turbo is one of the ten saloons built in right hand drive for the UK market. Based upon the BMW 335i, Alpina removed the twin-scroll turbo and replaced it with separate small and large turbos to improve the lag. They add their own suspension, bodywork, engine upgrades, exhaust, wheels, non-run flat tyres and bespoke interior, amongst other things. Benefitting from the sublime 3.0 litre, straight six, twin turbo petrol engine. It is extremely quick but has superb handling due to the excellent Alpina suspension. 0-60mph is achieved in 4.6 seconds with a top speed of 177mph.
The car has recently had a large amount of work carried out including having the turbos rebuilt by Turbo Solutions to Stage One specifications, stringently increasing the BHP. While this work was carried out, they took the opportunity to replace the engine mounts, exhaust gaskets and injector seals. They also replaced both front and rear brake pads and discs, fitted a new windscreen and fully refurbished the bespoke Alpina wheels.
The silver paintwork is in excellent condition, with the front bumper having the benefit of being professionally re-sprayed to remove the stone chips and odd marks. The classic 19″ 20 spoke alloys are also in excellent condition. The interior is spotless in extended grey leather and comes with full professional wide screen Sat-Nav, electric heated memory seats with electric bolster and lumbar adjustment, auto folding and dimming mirrors, auto dimming rear view mirror, electric windows, automatic Xenon headlights, BMW Professional seven disk sound system with upgraded Focal 100 KRS front speakers, two-way passive crossovers and boot mounted JL Audio XD500/3 amplifier.
The upgraded sound system was professionally installed and is very discreet. Finally, its had the all-important Quaife limited slip differential fitted which makes a big difference in handling and control.
The car is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in September 2024 and a folder full of receipts and invoices, together with the correct Alpina leather binder, associated booklets, BMW service booklet and corresponding BMW Alpina service booklet. It also comes with two sets of keys.
