The Bentley Mulsanne was a luxury performance car produced from 1980 until 1992, even though models that were derived from it, like the Continental T and Azure, continued in production into the 2000s. The name "Mulsanne" stems from Bentley's Le Mans heritage and of course the iconic Mulsanne Straight.

The Mulsanne was built to underpin the very ethos of Bentley motoring by offering huge performance combined with great style and comfort. The Mulsanne used the traditional 6.75Litre Rolls-Royce V8 engine with aluminum alloy cylinder heads. The SU carburetors were however replaced by a Bosch fuel injection system on all cars from 1986. All Mulsannes use a 3-speed automatic transmission.

Introduced in 1987 the Mulsanne S, although lacking the turbocharger, was very similar to the Turbo R. It featured the same alloy wheels and interior, along with having the same suspension set up offering a firmer more sporting ride.

This 1991 Mulsanne S has had just 5 previous owners and is currently showing 90,000 miles on the clock, it is presented in great condition with a full supporting history including invoices, manufacturers handbooks and previous owner history.

The car underwent a full service just 18 months ago and has only covered 4000 miles since. Fitted to the car are later specification Bentley Continental wheels, which not only improve the aesthetic appearance of the car but the vendor tells us that there is a noticeable improvement in the handling.

Guided at under £10,000 this Bentley Mulsanne S has a great history and is a massive amount of car for the price.
