The Continental GT was powered by a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine producing 552bhp and 479lb/ft of torque. A Torsen-type permanent four-wheel-drive six-speed transmission was standard equipment, and the Continental GT could accelerate from 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 197.6mph. A mechanically identical Continental GTC Convertible was made available for 2006, followed by another version of the Coupé: the range-topping GT Speed.
