“Less than 42,000 km on the clock, over €80,000 spent on maintenance since 2019”
- Introduced in 1995 as the spiritual successor to the Rolls-Royce Corniche, the Bentley Azure was based on the proven Continental R platform and quickly established itself as one of the most prestigious convertibles of its era. Produced during the transitional period preceding Bentley's acquisition by Volkswagen, it remains today one of the last Bentleys built to the exacting handcrafted standards of the Vickers era, combining power, comfort and refinement in exceptional measure.
- Delivered new to the United States in 2001, this example was imported to France in 2010. Its history has been meticulously documented since then through an extensive file of invoices detailing its maintenance and ownership. We first encountered this Azure at our 2016 Summer Sale and again in 2018, when it displayed just 13,000 original miles. It was at that time acquired by its current owner, a discerning enthusiast based in the Paris region.
- The current owner has never hesitated to invest in maintaining the car to the highest standard. More than €80,000 has been spent on maintenance since 2019. The most significant works include the complete replacement of the convertible top by Caribex in 2024 at a cost exceeding €15,000, as well as a major service carried out at the end of 2025, including replacement of the bonnet struts, brake pads and various mechanical components, amounting to more than €7,000. These recent interventions complement a consistent and rigorous maintenance programme, particularly reassuring on a motor car of this calibre.
- Now displaying fewer than 42,000 kilometres, this Azure impresses as much with its road manners as with its extraordinary level of comfort. Powered by Bentley's legendary turbocharged V8 engine, it delivers a unique driving experience, combining effortless performance, immense torque and long-distance cruising ability with supreme refinement. A true grand tourer, it remains one of the most charming and versatile automobiles in its class.
- Today, the Azure occupies a unique position within the collector car market. Few automobiles offer such levels of prestige, comfort, presence and craftsmanship for such a comparatively modest budget. Presented in outstanding condition, benefiting from a clear and well-documented history and substantial recent investment, this Bentley represents a particularly attractive opportunity for the enthusiast seeking immediate enjoyment behind the wheel of one of the last great British luxury convertibles.
