With peerless level of handcrafted luxury and open top motoring performance heritage that stretches back to the fire-breathing Bentley Blower, the Azure is the Bentley for those who demand the absolute best grand touring convertible driving experience. This 1998 Bentley Azure is number one in a limited series of only ten California Edition models produced and displays just 23,200 original miles on the odometer. The Pininfarina designed factory wide body convertible was hewn into existence at Mulliner Park Ward and waits for its next driver to experience the open road and sky.
An ongoing refinement of the Bentley 6.75-liter Mulliner Turbo V-8 engine was factory rated for 385 horsepower 4,000 RPM and an astonishing 553 lb-ft of torque at a mere 2,000 RPM with a single low-pressure turbocharger with intercooler and Zytek engine management. The engine is backed by a 4-speed automatic transmission with power delivered to the road through the rear wheels. Independent front and rear suspension with speed-proportional power steering in concert with 4-wheel ABS-equipped ventilated disc brakes deliver the utmost in road control. The Azure is capable of reaching 0-60 miles per hour in 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 150 miles per hour.
The silver finish factory widebody is equipped with side and hood vents. Factory fender flares to envelop the five-spoke chrome wheel and tire package. The convertible top opens to reveal a two-tone silver with light and dark gray leather interior with Bentley emblems embossed into the head rests. Wood veneer surrounds a sport tachometer and speedometer on the dash and center console and leather wraps the tilt-adjustable steering wheel. Power windows join power remote mirrors, trunk release and door locks for push-button convenience and an 8-speaker stereo system conveys sound entertainment. The Azure comes with Bentley-issue literature, a clean CarFax report and dual trunk mount umbrellas.
