Introduced at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show for the 2006 model year, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage became one of the most significant cars ever produced by the marque, with more than 10,000 vehicles produced in V-8 and V-12 variants. The most popular was the V-8 car for a variety of reasons, not the least of which was handling. Many people considered the V8 Vantage a better-handling car, and it was considerably less expensive. The 4.3L V-8 produced 380 HP, was equipped with four-cams and 32-valve heads, which was similar to the Jaguar AJ engine, but unique in that it used dry-sump lubrication and featured various components all designed in-house at Aston Martin.
In spite of their popularity, the Vantage remained exclusive. This 2007 Vantage has had a major reduction in weight—more than 150 pounds in total—with a V-12-version hood for additional airflow, lightweight parts in the engine compartment and liberal use of carbon fiber throughout the interior. It has been modified with a Magnuson Supercharger helping the 4.3L engine discover 575 HP. Linked to an F1 racing 6-speed transmission, the Savini Diamond custom 21-inch rims are fed power through a limited-slip differential with a 3.91 gear ratio. A stainless-steel dual racing exhaust system, complete with a racing catalytic converter, rounds out the package.
The sport suspension features stability control, front and rear double wishbone architecture and front and rear anti-roll bar. The ABS brakes are complete with 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers on ventilated discs. Inside, the black interior features red stitching complementing the black exterior with red striping. Modifications were performed by Titan Motorsports of Orlando, Florida, and Racing Sports Concepts of Miami, Florida.
