A development of the Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo, the Evoluzione was introduced in 1986, some 500 being built to meet the requirements of the FIA's Group A racing regulations. Despite the turbo-charging pressure being raised and the exhaust manifolds redesigned, the Evoluzione was homologated with the same (155bhp) power output as the stock Turbo, although the actual maximum was suspected of being much higher. The chassis and suspension were up-rated for track use, while the bodywork gained side skirts, flared wheelarches, and redesigned front and rear spoilers. All cars were delivered finished in Alfa Rosso with matching BWA alloy wheels. As its specification suggests, the Evoluzione was more at home on the track than the road, with many being raced.
Chassis number '026' was delivered from Alfa Corse in A1 specification to Top Run Racing of Castiglione Olona in Italy, and was driven in the national CIVIT championship in white Alpitour livery by Roberto Russo. In 1991 the car was sold to Bob van der Sluis of the Dutch team Euro Magnum Automotive Racing for use in the Dutch championship.
As they were not satisfied with the Evoluzione's performance, the team changed the car to IMSA specification, following guidance from Alfa Corse, and entered various races in Holland and Europe. The car continued to race after the team closed down, taking part in the Dutch Alfa Romeo Challenge. It is believed to have raced at the following venues in recent years:

This car is featured in both A1 and IMSA specification in the book, Alfa 75 & Milano – Driven To Be Different by Paul Koebrugge, and a die-cast model of it has been produced. More recently, the Alfa was used on the 2016 edition of the Vernasca Silver Flag hill climb, a video of which (filmed with an onboard camera) may be found on Youtube. The car is currently in working order, but a thorough check of the mechanicals is recommended before using it for racing. We are advised by the vendor that it is eligible for numerous hill climbs and the Youngtimer Touring Car Challenge, with races in 2020 at the following tracks: Zandvoort, Hockenheim, Brands Hatch, Charade (France), Zolder, and Dijon.
Offered with a second set of wheels and a larger rear spoiler, this limited edition 75 Evoluzione is an interesting piece of Alfa Romeo's recent competition history.

- Éligible au Youngtimer Touring Car Challenge Évolution de l'Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo, l'Evoluzione fut présentée en 1986, 500 ayant été construite pour répondre à l'homologation du Groupe A de la FIA. Malgré un accroissement de la pression du turbo et la modification du collecteur d'échappement, l'Evoluzione fut homologuée avec la même puissance (155 ch) que la Turbo de série, bien que sa puissance réelle ait probablement été bien supérieure. Le châssis et la suspension ont été réglés pour le circuit, tandis que la carrosserie recevait des jupes et des élargisseurs, ainsi que des becquets avant et arrière redessinés.
Toutes les voitures livrées étaient Alfa Rosso avec des jantes en alliage BWA assorties. Come le suggèrent ses caractéristiques, l'Evoluzione était plus à l'aise sur circuit que sur route, la plupart ayant été engagées en compétition.
Le châssis numéro 026 a été livré aux spécifications A1 par Alfa Corse à Top Run Racing de Castiglione Olona en Italie, et fut piloté au championnat national CIVIT dans sa livrée blanche Alpitour par Roberto Russo. En 1991, la voiture a été vendue à Bob van der Sluis de l'écurie hollandaise Euro Magnum Automotive Racing pour participer au championnat des Pays-Bas.
Comme ils n'étaient satisfaits des performances de l'Evoluzione, l'écurie modifia la voiture aux spécifications IMSA, selon les instructions d'Alfa Corse et l'engagea dans différentes épreuves en Hollande et en Europe. La voiture continua de courir après la fermeture de l'écurie, prenant part à l'Alfa Romeo Challenge en Hollande. On pense que la voiture a participé aux récentes épreuves suivantes :

La voiture figure à la fois dans sa configuration A1 et IMSA dans le livre Alfa 75 & Milano – Driven To Be Different de Paul Koebrugge, et un modèle réduit en a été édité. Plus récemment, l'Alfa a été utilisée dans l'édition 2016 de la course de côte Vernasca Silver Flag, dont une video (filmée avec une camera embarquée) se trouve sur Youtube. La voiture est en état de marche, mais une vérification complète de la mécanique est recommandée avant de la faire courir. Le vendeur nous informe qu'elle est éligible à de nombreuses courses de côte et au Youngtimer Touring Car Challenge, avec des épreuves en 2020 sur les circuits suivants : Zandvoort, Hockenheim, Brands Hatch, Charade (France), Zolder, et Dijon.
Vendue avec un second jeu de roues et un aileron arrière plus grand, cette édition limitée de la 75 Evoluzione est une intéressante représentante de l'histoire récente d'Alfa Romeo en compétition.
