Tesla Adds $5,000 to Cybertruck Price

Tesla has increased the price of the Tesla Cybertruck by $5,000 for its two dual-motor versions, despite the pickup's ongoing sales challenges. The entry-level Dual-Motor All-Wheel Drive now starts at $77,235, while the Premium All-Wheel Drive rises to $87,235. The range-topping Cyberbeast remains priced at $102,235.

Interestingly, the higher prices arrived without any announced upgrades to performance, equipment, or features. The changes simply appeared in Tesla’s online configurator, meaning buyers appear to be paying more for essentially the same truck.

The latest increase makes the Cybertruck’s original pricing promises look even more distant. When it debuted in 2019, Tesla projected a $39,000 single-motor version and a $49,000 dual-motor model. Neither price ultimately became reality. A rear-wheel-drive Long Range version launched in 2025 at $71,985 before disappearing after only a few months.

Tesla also introduced a new base dual-motor model at $62,235 earlier this year, but its price jumped to $72,235 after just 10 days. Now it costs $77,235. With estimated first-half sales of only 7,263 units, will the higher price make the Cybertruck even harder to sell? Is Tesla betting that exclusivity matters more than volume?
